1% of the US is transgendered. I like statistics, I feel like they paint a solid picture. My partner is a trans masc lesbian. 50% woman 50% not woman. I walk around ready to protect them 100% of the time. They eat 100% vegan 100% of the time to try to save the planet where 49.8% of that planet, wants to harm them. 4 out of 7 nights they wake up from nightmares because they fall into the 54% of the queer DV survivors. They just made it in the 42% of people that past the Professional Engineer Exam their first time taking it, because they want to make the world 90% better. They are 100% a good human through and through. Yet because they wear baggy clothes and present a little different than 80% of the world, they are afraid 98% of the time of public restrooms. 71% of transgender people suffer from anxiety because 100% of judgey bitches.

The statistics paint a stark picture, but they are just numbers. What truly matters is the person behind them, the one who navigates a world that often misunderstands and fears what it doesn’t know. A testament to resilience, a beacon of hope in the face of adversity. May we all strive to create a world where such statistics become relics of the past, replaced by empathy, acceptance, and genuine human connection.
